Chris Hemsworth makes an imposing, good-humoured Thor… but the motor of the film is Tom Hiddleston’s complex, conflicted Loki.
Witty, charming and very current, the big screen adaptation of Thor is sure to catapult its star Chris Hemsworth (whose wife, Elsa Pataky, ironically stars in Fast Five) to leading man status.
Let’s hope Branagh was well-compensated, at least. To quote his favorite author: No profit grows where is no pleasure taken.
I love the world of Asgard that they build. It looks beautiful and the dynamic between Loki and Thor is dynamite.
While not perfect, the casting is on-point, the action scenes done well and the dialogue full of just as much humour as drama. A fun film overall.
Poorly characterized villains and bouts of hokey dialogue work to hinder the nobler efforts.
Easily one of the best looking Marvel movies so far. I was never a big Thor fan in the comics but this movie had me locked in. Overall i think this movie shines thanks to Hemsworh, Hiddleston the supportin cast.
Despite the talent of the strong lead, who is also incredibly handsome and charismatic, this superhero blockbuster is very unimpressive and never takes risks, trying more to be a prequel to The Avengers than anything else.
